Tare Raine, the lead vocalist of the Adelaide Afrobeat Collective and originally from Nigeria, perceives Afrobeat as a vibrant celebration of cultural heritage and musical interchange. The bold brass section, featuring Jordan Noble (Tenor Sax/Flute), Jackson Faulkner (Trumpet), Ena Faulks (Baritone Sax), and Jake Goss (Alto Sax), injects excitement with their vibrant lines, showcasing a level of artistry and skill that promises the band's longevity. Aidan McDonough on keys playfully cues the various elements of this ensemble, illustrating how African music is re-establishing its connection with jazz, its ancestral counterpart, and unveiling a pathway to the future of jazz.
